Thank you for visiting Intimate Shave™.com!
Will my hair grow back courser, thicker or darker if I shave?
No, shaving does not alter hair growth at all. Shaven hair appears to grow back courser, but it does not. Hair is angled to a point on the end. When it is shaved the end becomes blunt, which makes it feel courser
What is the best Electric Shaver to use on Intimate Areas?
The best Electric Shavers to use are Electric Shavers that have: small, square holes to prevent Razor Bumps and Razor Burns, easily replacable Electric Shaver Blades, and Electric Shaver Blades that are self sharpening to give a close, smooth shave. Shaving with the Intimate Shave™ Electric Shaver and Trimmer Kit will leave your Intimate Areas with a velvet smooth finish free of Razor Burns/Bumps, rash or nicks that are commonly experienced with ordinary wet Electric Shaver. The Intimate Shave™ Electric Shaver and Trimmer is great for shaving your Intimate Pubic area, shaving your pubic hair and Bikini Line.
How often should you clean an Electric Shaver?
It is best to clean your Electric Shaver every 3 uses to prevent nicks and infection and to keep your shaver in optimum working condition.. Dirty Electric Shaver Blades can also cause unsightly Razor Bumps and Razor Burns. To get years out of your shaver, we recommend you replace the Intimate Shaver™ Electric Shaver foil and blade every (two) 2 years.
How do I clean an Electric Shaver?
To Care for your Intimate Shave™ Electric Shavers and Trimmers: Use the accessory brush (included) or a soft toothbrush to clean hair residue from foil, clean around the Electric Shaver Blade and around the motor drive. Can you use an Intimate Shave™ Electric Razor on long hair?
No. The Intimate Shave™ Electric Razor is designed to shave stubble hair only. Trim long hair first before using the Intimate Shave™ Electric Razor by using the Ultra-Fine Trimmer.
Is it best to use the Intimate Shave™ Electric Razor on wet skin or dry?
Use the Intimate Shaver™ Electric Razor Kit before you shower and shave dry! When your skin is wet, it swells slightly, resulting in a not so smooth shave. Simply dust the Intimate Shaving area with baby powder, talc powder, or cornstarch to remove all moisture, including perspiration and body oil from your skin. This will cause the designated hair to rise allowing the Intimate Shaver™ Electric Razor to work effectively.
Is the Intimate Shave™ Electric Razor convenient?
Definitely! The Intimate Shave™ Electric Razor is cordless and compact. The Intimate Shave™ Electric Razor's has a rotary-head and an ultra-fine shaving foil that provides an extremely close shave. The self-sharpening stainless-steel blade never touches the skin, so the hair follicle is not irritated. This attribute offers the convenience of not having to worry about unsightly Razor Burns/Bumps, Rashes, or Nicks. Intimate Shave™Electric Razor is a pain-free alternative to an expensive Brazilian Bikini Waxing and Facial Hair Removal.
How does a regular Disposable Razor differ from The Intimate Shave™ Electric Razors
and Trimmers?
With a regular Disposable Razor, the Disposable Razor blade cuts hair very close to the skin. The closeness of a Disposable Razor frequently causes skin irritation such as Razor Burn/Bumps and can even cut the skin, sometimes resulting in an infection. With The Intimate Shave™ Electric Razors and Trimmers, the Electric Razor's blade never touches the skin so the hair follicle is not irritated. The Intimate Shave™ Electric Razors and Trimmers free you of unsightly Razor Burn/Bumps, Rashes and Nicks. The Intimate Shave™ Electric Razors and Trimmers perform incredibly well for sensitive areas that are easily irritated.
Does a Disposable Razor's blade last longer than blades on The Intimate Shave™ Electric Razors and Trimmers?
No. Disposable Razors become dull because its sharp cutting edge is physically worn off due to outside influences such as abraision from rubbing against hair and oxidation (rusting). The Intimate Shave™ Electric Razors and Trimmers have self sharpening blades that will ensure a smooth Shave for many Shaving sessions to come.
What is Razor Burn?
Razor burn is caused by hair that is pushed back into the follicle. It can become inflamed and then develop into an ingrown hair. This often occurs when you shave your Intimate Pubic area. The Intimate Shave™ Electric Razors and Trimmers help to elimate Razor Burn, resulting in a close, comfortable Intimate Shave. Some people with sensitive skin get razor burn from scraping the skin with a razor blade, not just by "hair that is pushed back into the follicle."
How do you prevent Razor Burn?
Use a clean, sharp razor each time you shave. The Intimate Shave™ Electric Razors and Trimmers have self sharpening blades that will work like new with every Shave session. Also, Shaving after you shower will help prevent Razor Burn. When the skin is wet, it may swell slightly and cause irritation. The Intimate Shave™ Electric Razors and Trimmers work best for dry Shaving.
What are Razor Bumps?
The medical term for Razor Bumps is Pseudofolliculitis barbae. Razor Bumps are caused by the regrowth of hair after it has been shaved. Razor Bumps occur most often in people with very curly, kinky Hair. The hallmark of this irritation is red or hyperpigmented papules (Razor Bumps).
The Intimate Shave™ Electric Razors and Trimmers eliminate Razor Bumps from your Intimate areas and men's faces & necks by never touching the skin. This makes The Intimate Shave™ Electric Razors and Trimmers perfect for shaving your Intimate Pubic area.
How do you treat Razor Bumps?
To treat Razor Bumps, use a clean needle to release the imbedded hair shaft. If possible, stop shaving. This usually stops Razor Bumps from developing, depending on the severity. However, when shaving is restarted razor bumps typically return. Avoid Razor Bumps completely by using The Intimate Shave™ Electric Razors and Trimmers for Shaving instead of a regular Disposable Razor.
Do shaving alternatives stop the development of Razor Bumps?
Razor bumps will generally go away if Shaving is stopped. Hair removal products (depilatories) can be used instead of shaving, but these products chemical can still irritate the skin. Because it does not cause any kind of irritation, The Intimate Shave™ Electric Razors and Trimmers are best to use when Shaving.
